I can't afford to always get my nails done so I need some tips on how I can keep mine looking nice and fresh. Their pretty long so they get dirty easily.Whats the best way to keep nails clean and looking nice without going to the nail shop?
I would suggest a nail brush, a good buffer and some cuticle oil. I am in the same boat as you, and I just scrub my nails with a nail brush once a day (I am a nanny, so I am always subjecting my hands to dirt and grime), and then everynight before bed I buff with a four sided buffer. It can almost double as a nail file, and because it has a finer grain, it makes your edges much more smooth. I buff my entire nail, and then after I finish all of them, I wash my hands, apply a coat of revivanail (it keeps your nails strong and clear polish always looks nice), and then will apply some cuticle oil if my cuticles aren't looking to good. Doing this will keep your nails clean, healthy and strong, and the only pricy product is the revivanail, at about 10 bucks, but the bottle is big and will last forever. If you don't want to invest in any of the above products, just wash your nails, and keep your hands moisturized, because the dryness will cause your cuticles to peel, nails to be brittle and hands to look like zombie hands!!Whats the best way to keep nails clean and looking nice without going to the nail shop?

*I like to use a simple pair of tweezers with an angled edge to clean out under my nails. (be sure it's not a very sharp tip, or you'll poke yourself!)
*I love Sally Hansen Nail products.... they have a great 5 minute manicure kit. It's the best!
*I'm not sure what it's called, but I have this little rectangle buffer. It has 4 sides with different types of files. One sands, buffs, one smooths, and one shines. Cheap and pretty results. Find it in the beauty/nail department of walmart or a drugstore.
Hope this helped some!
